Kids classes are ages 5 through 12. Teen and adult classes are ages 13 and up.

How many people are in each class?

What style of martial arts do you teach?

We teach multiple styles of martial arts: Sport Karate, Filipino Eskrima, Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu, and Muay Thai Kickboxing.

Can I cross train in the various styles?

All of our regular classes cover all of the different styles to different degrees of difficulty. You can also take specific classes to train in one style. Multiple program options are available for both group and private lessons.

Do you require contracts?

No, we do not. Our classes keep students coming back for more.

Are there family discounts available?

Yes, see our tuition page for more details.

What is proper attire for classes?

Full uniform is used for testings, graduations, formal seminars, tournaments, and demos. For regular class, a Wolchek Academy t-shirt may be used in place of the gi jacket, but students must wear their karate pants and belt.

What are the testing and belt procedures? When will my child get their next belt?

Students will have two progress check for each belt level, known as "stripes". When they are ready to test for the next belt, the student will receive a testing notice with the date and time of the next graduation. If there is a timing conflict, make-up tests are done the week after the scheduled graduation, typically after a class the student attends.

What is your SWAT program?

Special Wolchek Academy Team (SWAT) is our loyalty program for green belts and up. There are weekly SWAT only classes, including sparring and grappling. There are also monthly SWAT-only free seminars covering topics not in the normal curriculum. Enrolled students get a discount on tuition and pro shop purchases. Students receive an embroidered black team uniform.

What is your leadership program/team?

Leadership team is exemplary older brown belts and up. These students attend a monthly class to enhance their leadership skills. They are teaching assistants, demo team members, and special event volunteers.
